RGS is looking for a qualified candidate to support our customer at the Department of Labor (DOL). The Human Resources Specialist will provide human resources support for DOL client agencies of roughly 2,500 employees for recruiting and staffing actions. Specifically, you will perform the full range of federal HR duties to support quick hiring actions for up to 60 new positions. 


    • Reorganizations or establishment of new organizations submitted through HRC for approval; analyzes proposals from both a position classification and position management perspective; identifies potential areas of concern; and works with submitting Division and management officials to address concerns as needed.
    • Assists in developing short and long range staffing plans to meet forecasted mission requirements, human capital losses and changes in critical competencies
    • Workforce shaping, reduction in-force, special placement programs, recruitment methods and special pay incentives.
    • Developing statistical charts and tables
    • Advice on formulating alternative procedures and operations in order to change the way Agencies does business with the goal of improving customer service and expanding its programmatic capacity.

Education and Experience:

  • Associates degree in a field of expertise related to HR Operation duties
  • Minimum of one year experience in HR in the federal sector; OR three (3) years’ experience in HR operations in the federal sector
