Overview

RGS is seeking a Project Manager to support the planning, executing, and monitoring/controlling of high-visibility Cyber Security projects. The successful candidate will apply a full spectrum of project management principles and concepts, while working with internal and external customers/stakeholders on technical and analytical issues related to the cybersecurity initiatives.

Responsibilities

 

  • Provide project leadership across all spectrum of the PMO’s project management life cycle (Strategy, Initiation, Planning, Execution, and Closing).
  • Provide project management oversight with service providers, subcontractors, vendors and internal support teams in developing final recommendations to the Government.
  • Provide project management leadership of the engineering and acquisition Integrated Product Team (IPT)
  • Coordinate and operate meetings required for meeting the deliverable schedule, including weekly status meetings, briefings, and report creation
  • Act as primary contact for all issues, escalation, and standard communications with the agency cybersecurity government staff
  • Quality management of all contract deliverables
  • Integrate Project Management and System Engineering Life Cycles; Project Management Office (PMO) and Defense System Engineering Method (DSEM) / System Engineering Management Plan (SEMP).
  • Develop communication plans and standardized templates.
  • Develop and maintain project plan of action and milestones (POA&M).
  • Ensure projects are delivered on defined scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Monitor, track, and report on the execution of assigned projects; identify and resolve risks and issues.
  • Identify, prioritize and recommend process improvement and/or integration activities/efforts.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • BS/BA required
  • 8+ years providing IT project management for large enterprise infrastructures (U.S. Navy experience preferred).
  • Solid written and verbal communications skills with ability to interface at all levels of government personnel, DoD contractors and vendors.
  • Experience with service delivery, IT infrastructure systems, and solution development. - Understanding of both project and service development lifecycles
  • Hands-on experience with MS Project, SharePoint and MS Office Suite
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work in high-pressure environment.
  • Critical thinker, problem solver, and results-oriented.

Desired Skills

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • CISSP or CISM Certification is a plus.
  • Informatoin Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v3 Certification is highly desirable for understanding the full lifecycle and process relationships and dependencies.
