Overview

The Defense Pow/MIA Accounting Agency, responsible for searching for and identifying missing service men and women, is seeking a System Administrator for support of the DPAA Network infrstructure.

Responsibilities

  • Provides tier two technical support and troubleshooting assistance.
  • VMware, VCenter and Sphere management, including provisioning VM clones and templates, creation of VMFS datastores, physical server consolidation, ESXi upgrades, patching and STIG implementation.
  • Responsible for virtual systems and storage on NIPR/SIPR networks; storage management; user CIFS shares & snapshot management, Oracle database LUNs VMware SAN data management.
  • Manages, updates, and maintains Windows 2K8 and 2K12 servers.
  • Responsible for system administration, building and hardening workstations per STIG/SCAP and securing network printers.
  • Interfaces with multiple levels of users to include VIPs, Management, and end users.
  • Supports IAVA patching requirements for servers and systems under management.
  • Engineer and maintain COOP site.
  • Assists with weekly and monthly reporting on administration and maintenance activities.

Qualifications

OS and Applications:

  • Active Directory Administration
  • VMware 6.x.
  • Windows Server 2008/2012.
  • Syslog technologies
  • NetApp Storage Administration desired.

Education and Experience:

  • This position requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution as well as a minimum of seven years of relevant professional experience.
  • CompTIA Security+ ce and an OS certification are minimum requirements for this position.

Other Skills/Qualifications:

  • Experience with design and development of high availability NetApp storage.
  • In-depth performance monitoring of storage system(s).
  • Must excel at system documentation, to include in-depth system configuration, topology and development of standard operating procedures.
  • Must excel at communicating with world-wide support team; this includes providing basic NetApp management and/or maintenance hands-on training to team members.
  • Self-Motivated and Self-Monitoring, Exceptional Oral and Written Communications, Technical Communication, Problem Solving, and ability for Multi-tasking.
