Overview

RGS Is seeking a Program Finanacial Analyst to support NAVSEA's DDG 51 Program Office. PMS 400D requires support across the full range of review and analysis functions necessary to oversee the  execution of assigned programs and budgetary appropriations that fall under the purview of the Business Financial Manager. Support includes execution of funds, funds analysis, and account reconciliation.

Responsibilities

The Program Financial Analyst will support the DDG 51 Shipbuilding program and be responsible for the following:

  • Apply knowledge of accounting, finance, budgeting, execution and reporting, and data information systems to provide financial management support in the following areas:

    • Budget Execution
    • Budget Development
    • Accounting Reconciliation
  • Perform analytical support by performing one or more of the following:

    • Prepare funding execution documents and track to ensure acceptance and accurate recording in Navy Systems.
    • Maintain financial status and historical records, reports, and assessments to identify program financial resources, shortfalls, obligations, and expenditure data.
    • Assist in the Government’s reconciliation of financial transactions (NULOs/ULOs/UMDs) in STARS, ERP and Paying Office records and recommend corrective actions.
    • Conduct research and provide subject matter expertise to identify accounting system errors.
    • Perform the research necessary to review, prepare, and track TPS program requirements and development of phasing, allocation, and spend plans.
    • Assist in business and financial services for the Legacy and ERP systems in planning, executing, and reporting efforts of SCN appropriations.
    • Provide financial inputs to the PM/BFM reports and senior level briefings.
    • Respond to ad hoc financial data calls as required.
    • Maintain detailed records and track  financial metrics.

 

Qualifications

Preferred Skills:

  • NAVSEA, Navy, and SCN expertise.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience OR high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in lieu of the degree.

Clearance:  DOD Secret
