Overview

RGS a USfalcon company has an immediate opening for a Contracts Specialist that will provide direct contracts management support on federal contracts to a large government office at the Washington Navy Yard.

Responsibilities

As a Contracts Specialist, you will provide direct contracts management support on federal contracts. You will assist in disseminating contract modifications, conforming the contract, as well as provide other administrative support. You will provide market research as a part of the cost/price analysis process. Provide cost/price analysis: industry standard prices and negotiation positions for Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) items; review and submit recommendations for invoicing issues; and provide research and suggestions for ordering tool operations and training.

You will assist the Procuring Contracting Officer (PCO) team with the resolution of emergent contracting issues including tracking, management and negotiation of un-priced CLIN items, Enterprise order processing, award fee execution, and invoicing issues.

Gather information, review and present Executive Level Briefs with limited to no supervision to other members of their team.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate:

  • Team player who is willing to learn and develop professionally.
  • (2) - (6) years’ experience in direct federal contracts management client support.
  • Experience with research and writing skills- data analysis, entry, mining and representation. 
  • Advanced experience with Contracting by Negotiation.
  • Experience with (FAR) and (DFAR).
  • Proven organizational skills and acute attention to detail.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (i.e., Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge and technical subject matter expertise related to Microsoft Exchange 2013/2016 and Office 365.
  • Navy Enterprise Resource Program (NERP) experience preferred: NERP navigation and entry.
