  • Overview

    RGS Associates, Inc. is supporting the Intelligence Community (IC) in Northern Virginia with Network Engineer experience .  

    • Locations: Multiple options: Chantilly, Herndon, Reston, Mclean, and Tyson's Corner, VA
    • Travel: Minimum (Local WMA)
    • Clearance required: Active Top Secret/SCI with favorable polygraph

    Responsibilities

    • Experience performing moderately complex O&M activities with limited guidance.
    • Experience using network analysis tools to identify network performance problems.
    • Experience troubleshooting procedures for restoring a network to optimal performance levels.
    • Experience documenting moderately complex network designs for existing technology with limited guidance.
    • Experience planning network configurations for integration into the network and specifications for network interfaces to ensure optimal network performance.
    • Experience preparing technical proposals for presentation to engineering review boards.
    • Experience performing moderately complex network upgrades with limited guidance.
    • Experience reviewing user requests for upgrades or additions to the network to assess impact on performance and provide advice/guidance on the most practical technical approach to meet user requirements.
    • Experience planning upgrades to existing network configurations using knowledge of system performance characteristics and network interface specifications to insure effective integration/optimal performance.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 3 years experience as a Network Engineer.
    • BS Degree  (CS, IS, Eng, Business, technical discipline) or an equivalent combination of experience and education
